Job Description:
Position Summary: 
As an application developer with VGM Homelink, one is responsible for developing, enhancing and maintaining a suite of web based applications, databases that are critical to the company’s growth. Candidates must be competent and experienced utilizing .NET and other technologies that can join the team and hit the ground running. The right candidate must be curious minded, detail oriented, demonstrate good communication skills and committed to success. Full-time and contract to full-time positions available.  

Reports to: VP of Information Services
Hours: Full-time 40 hours/ non-exempt
Working Location: Waterloo, Iowa; will entertain remote applicants

Agile Software Development
Object-Oriented Design
Continuous Integration
C#/VB
ASP .Net (MVC, Web API)
WCF
ORM (Entity Framework, NHibernate)
SQL Server and SQL
Client side Java Scripting (JQuery)
Provides effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives and performance.
Adheres to and supports development standards in place within the development team.
Assists in logical and physical database design.
Participate in code review sessions.
Solve business problems through technology.

Qualifications:
Required: 3+ years of accomplished experience working in software development. Experience coding .Net applications, ASP.Net, MVC, ADO.Net or Entity Framework. Bachelors in CS is highly preferred along with Strong experience and understanding of object oriented development principles.
Experience with Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, and TFS Source Control.
Relevant Microsoft Certification a bonus.
Strong conceptualization, analytical, and logic skills.
Must excel at working with peers within a team environment.
Ability to meet project plan timelines and produce a high quality product.
Ability to take individual initiative and accountability for assignments.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Ability to quickly learn and apply new tools and technologies.
Strong conceptualization, analytical, and logic skills.
Detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication.

Physical Requirements:
Sitting at desk, standing and walking, in office and throughout facility
Operation of office machinery and equipment
Visual abilities to include reading, distance vision and peripheral vision
