Job Description

The Course Developer/Graphic Design Intern will assist in creating, implementing, and meeting content production schedules and producing a high quality education product for VGM Education. In this role, you should be passionate about helping VGM Education members learn and grow by being detail oriented, demonstrate good communication skills and work well in a team and individual environment. As an intern with VGM, you will be afforded the opportunity to work and experience VGM’s unique business environment and dynamic culture.


These are the responsibilities expected of an applicant interested in this position.

  • Assist in creating, implementing, and meeting content production schedules
  • Produce high quality, educational training courses using multimedia technologies and authoring tools
  • Take individual initiative and accountability for assignments, including participating in fact finding meetings
  • Quickly learn and apply new tools and technologies
  • Coordinate, lead, setup, and document training tests with various groups to ensure the quality of developed solutions prior to production deployment
  • Perform quality checks on course feedback from user groups
  • Create and edit website, blog, social media, email and traditional collateral copy as needed
  • Maintain a positive, results oriented work environment, building partnerships and modeling teamwork, communicating to others in an open, balanced and objective manner
  • Perform other routine administrative tasks as needed
  • Provide ongoing maintenance to courses, as assigned
  • Deliver creative solutions for traditional print and digital applications
  • Create and maintain files for all creative assets and resources, such as software, art materials, and special fonts, which are needed for record keeping and referencing
  • Select and manage stock imagery as needed


Applicants are expected to meet these qualifications to be considered for this position.

Highly preferred a junior or senior standing student with educational emphasis in Graphic Design and/or Marketing.

  • Solid working knowledge of Excel and relevant software such as MS-office: Word, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Experience and confidence in copywriting/editing (highly desired)
  • Sound interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Client-focused approach to work
  • Possess the ability to be independent in much of their function and to reach out when help is needed
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple, potentially conflicting deadlines with attention to detail and within agreed timelines
  • A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning
  • Shows commitment to and performs consistently high quality work
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software programs and technology
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud: InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Must be able to multitask several projects and show strong organizational and communication skills.
