Job Description

The Regional Account Executive (RAE) is a relationship driven, consultative sales professional physically representing VGM Education to customers and prospects within a geographic region of the United States. The RAE’s primary functions are to:

  • Prospect to obtain new Education customers and expand sales opportunities
  • Build service offerings with these clients (increase users)
  • Drive retention of current VGM members

The RAE will be responsible for prospecting large and small long-term care, assisted living, home health and hospice facilities for the VGM Education Online Learning platform. Ultimately tasked with building our brand and customer portfolio and increasing revenue year over year, commitment to in-depth knowledge of our service offerings and partnerships, as well as high-quality customer service, is crucial to success. The Account Executive must be a self-starter with strong communication skills, ability to close sales and desire to surpass sales goals. This is a fast-paced position requiring strong personal drive and commitment to succeed while working remote from the home office; frequent (weekly) travel is required with the role.

Reports to:                 Sales Director

Hours:                        Full time; 40 hours/week but will require off -hour member appointments, outings, and engagements. Position will require frequent overnight travel.

Working Location:    Southeast Territory including Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South and North Carolina and Tennessee (preferably located in central or northern Florida)

Compensation:         Exempt Position; Salary plus commission.

Responsibilities

These are the responsibilities expected of an applicant interested in this position.

The VGM Education Regional Account Manager is responsible for generating new customers for the online learning platform and building relationships while retaining and building current membership. Goals are provided with expectations to meet and/or exceed.

  • Prospect to generate leads for the Education sales process,
  • Assist in onboarding of new members/clients and provide ongoing support,
  • Support members with questions and issues – know how and when to refer them for support elsewhere,
  • Help to maintain departmental databases for tracking purposes, including accruing status and resourcing information and monthly reports,
  • Recommend courses and services to members/clients based on their needs,
  • Provide excellent on-going customer service and account management,
  • Travel and meet with current and prospective members/clients,
  • Participate in marketing and industry educational events (i.e. seminars, trade shows),
  • Author timely communications (i.e. eNewsletter) to keep members informed of the latest VGM and industry news, events and initiatives
  • Prepare and facilitate presentations when appropriate,
  • Represent VGM Education by relationship building and generating business leads to follow-up on,
  • Maintain a positive, results oriented work environment, building partnerships and model teamwork, communicating to others in an open, balanced and objective manner.

Qualifications

Applicants are expected to meet these qualifications to be considered for this position.

Crucial to success in the role is the proven ability to be a business and sales partner, forging relationships with customers and colleagues built on reliability, trust and respect, promoting the ability to have in-depth business conversation. Bachelor’s degree preferred with 3+ years professional sales experience required. In addition, qualified candidates must have/be:

  • Multi-year experience in the healthcare profession, preferably long-term care, assisted live, home health or hospice
  • Bilingual in communication encouraged – English and Spanish preferred
  • Relationship driven with the competence to build a membership community through the demonstrated traits of involvement in professional networking groups and the ability to attract new members and bond with these members
  • Sound interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required for the purpose of developing and delivering presentations as well as creating, composing and editing written materials
  • Recognized proficiency to work well with others across the organization; demonstrating the ability to work cooperatively and build consensus
  • Proven attention to detail, follow-through skills, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning
  • Solid working knowledge of Excel and relevant software such as MS-office: Word, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image to industry personnel and public alike
