Job Description

The Marketing Coordinator for VGM Insurance Services is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day and ongoing marketing activities for VGM Insurance. In support of these responsibilities, it is crucial for the Marketing Coordinator to collaborate regularly with internal stakeholders to prioritize work in support of key marketing and sales needs. The ideal candidate will be ambitious and highly motivated with have a strong desire and ability to learn. The position offers the opportunity to communicate with individuals from multiple divisions across the company as well as external contacts from a variety of different industries.

This is a fast-paced position responsible for managing multiple tasks and projects with urgent deadlines, requiring strong personal drive, commitment to success and high attention to detail. Additional duties and responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate day-to-day as well as ongoing marketing projects, including managing a marketing schedule, aligning marketing campaigns with sales activities and tradeshows, offering input on marketing programs, and working with design and marketing specialists.
  • Manage messaging and collateral for a variety of different audiences and development and updates to content for various marketing platforms, including: websites, blogs, social media, print materials, email campaigns, videos, and email/print newsletters.
  • Analyze digital marketing campaign results (including email marketing, social media and Google AdWords campaigns) and develop reports highlighting trends.
  • Obtain marketing lists from key stakeholders and manipulate data appropriately for marketing needs.
  • Assist with managing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) initiatives, aligning sales and marketing activities, and generating appropriate reporting.
  • Maintain effective internal communications, including with outside office locations, to ensure all relevant company functions are informed of marketing activities.
  • Performs general administrative tasks.


Applicants are expected to meet these qualifications to be considered for this position.

Associates or Bachelor’s degree, with Business and/or Marketing/Communications major highly preferred; or equivalent work experience. Qualified candidates will ideally have experience in Marketing/Communications/Advertising/Public Relations/Digital Marketing functions within a business setting. Experience with social media, basic web development, graphic design and/or copywriting are a plus.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Strong creative outlook.
  • Good organization, prioritization and time management skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and processes, and work to tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
  • A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel etc.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, Graphic Design software, and/or Photo/Video editing software is a plus.
  • Excellent research skills required.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong writing, data analysis and reporting skills, and high attention to detail.
  • Willingness and ability to research and learn about new industries and new initiatives will be beneficial.
  • Must work well with others on a variety of projects and initiatives.
  • Sensitivity to confidential matters is required.
